Warnings, suspensions, and appeals

When staff act on a rule violation, the account is told directly. Every enforcement comes with an email that includes a reference code.

Warnings

A warning takes over the app until you acknowledge it, and repeats by email. It states the reason. Nothing else changes about your account.

Suspensions

A suspension is temporary and dated. You can sign in and read everything, but writing is paused everywhere until the suspension ends. The date is shown in the composer.

Bans

A ban is permanent. The account cannot sign in.

Appealing

Write to appeals@sigmachat.org with your reference code and what you think was wrong. Appeals land directly with staff. For anything else, support@sigmachat.org.
