AutoMod

AutoMod is per-board AI screening for message text. A board admin turns it on in board settings under Moderation.

Categories and actions

Five categories are screened: harassment and hate, sexual content, violence, self-harm, and illicit activity. Each category has its own action:

• Ignore: do nothing for this category.
• Alert: keep the message and notify the board’s moderators.
• Remove: take the message down immediately and open an alert.

The Flagged queue

Flagged messages collect in the Flagged tab of board settings, visible to anyone with the delete-messages power. From there a moderator can delete the message, time the author out, or dismiss the flag.

Images

Image screening is platform-wide and always on, in every board, regardless of the AutoMod toggle. Known abusive images are removed automatically the moment they are posted.
